Consignor Policy

We require that you make an appointment to consign. Please fill out the “consign with us” form and we will contact you with a drop off time frame. All consigners will sign an agreement and will open an account with us. We charge $4 per term to your account while you are an active consigner for online access. This will be charged in one lump sum at the start of each consignment term. You will have your own consignor portal where you can track your consigned items, view and edit your personal information. Items will be consigned for an 8-week term, with the items being moved to permanent sale for the last two weeks..

Consignors will get to choose a 50/50 or 60/40 (consignor gets 40%) commission split. We offer a 50/50 split only when the consignor chooses to get paid out in store credit. When a 60/40 split is chosen we will pay you out via e-transfer. Payouts happen on the 15th and last day of each month, with the cutoff for payment being 2 weeks prior to the pay day..

On the consignor form you will choose whether you want to pick up your unsold/unlisted items within 2-3 weeks after your term ends (we give a 2-week grace period to wait for any returns that may come back afer your term ends)  or donate your items. If you choose to donate your items, become the property of Sustainable Steals Consignment. If you donate your items, Sustainable Steals Consignment will either donate them to an appropriate organization or choose to add them to store inventory, and we have the right to resell them at a later date profitting 100%. If you do not pick up your items within the 2-3 week time frame after your 8-week term has ended, your items automatically become the property of Sustainable Steals Consignment.

A few key things to keep in mind when consigning with us:

  • We accept a maximum of 30 of your best items that are in season and relevant within the last 5 years. We are always open to seeing your vintage or timeless pieces, but keep in mind they may not be the right fit.

    It is our priority to be more size inclusive (looking specifically for more plus sizes) and offer products with sustainable fabrics and high quality manufacturing. Brands that sell well: Patagonia, Lululemon, Columbia, Arc'teryx, Free People, Athleta, Wilfred, Babaton, Matt and Nat, North Face, Kate Spade.
  • All items must be in new or "like new" condition, freshly washed, wrinkle free, and neatly folded (sets folded together).

  • Items not accepted:

    Sustainable Steals Consignment is 100% responsible for pricing items. All items consigned may be subject to a price reduction any time during the consignment term at the discretion of Sustainable Steals Consignment.

    Items can be dropped off at our College Heights location (address will be in your confirmation email) during the appointed time frame, given in your booking e-mail. Items can be left in or near the pick up locker. You will be notified when your items go live and your 8-week consignment term will start at that time.

    We require that items being consigned be dropped off in a box or tote with a maximum height of 15 inches. Your box/tote is required to be labeled with your full name and type of items you are consigning (ex/ John Smith, Men's M-XL).


    Sustainable Steals Consignment does not assume liability or reimburse for the loss, damage to, or destruction of any items consigned. All risk of ownership of consigned items remains with the consignor. We highly encourage you take out insurance over your own items for this reason.


    Refund & Return Policy

    We want you to be fully satisfied with the purchase you have made. You have 10 days after your purchase date to decide if you want to keep or return your items for store credit.

    Items purchased with Sustainable Steals store credit will always be refunded back as store credit.

    Please send us an e-mail with the order number and items you are wishing to return. Return your items into the locker in the condition they were sold in within 10 days of your purchase date. We will process your hassle-free return in the form of store credit and you will receive an emailed receipt as confirmation.

    We are currently not accepting returns on shipped items.

    Please note that we will only offer store credit as a refund for items if they are returned to Sustainable Steals Consignment within 10 days of the purchase date and are in the same condition in which they were sold. If you do not meet these requirements, a refund will not be issued.

    Promo codes must be used at time of order and may not be applied once an order has been submitted.

    Sustainable Steals Consignment keeps all customers' personal information and payment information 100% confidential. Such information will remain only with Sustainable Steals Consignment and will not be shared or disclosed with anyone outside of the Sustainable Steals Consignment company.

    All consignor information is completely confidential and will only be used by Sustainable Steals Consignment. Consignor personal information, accounts, payouts, and item details will not be shared, sold or made public in any way.

    What We Collect

    We collect user provided information. Information is collected through the use of web forms including but not limited to contact forms, sign up forms and checkout forms. User information collected for example would be names, email addresses and phone numbers. If you make a purchase through our website payments are processed through a trusted third party encrypted gateway. Sustainable Steals Consignment does not collect and store credit card information. All payment details are handled by the secure third party processor.

    Delivery & Shipping Policy

    Delivery & Contactless Pick-Up within Prince George, BC

    Please allow 1-5 days for orders to be prepared. We offer local Prince George, B.C. delivery within city limits for a small fee. All orders received before 9pm Monday night will be eligible for Wednesday delivery. All orders placed before 9pm Thursday night will be eligible for Saturday delivery. 

    We offer FREE pick up! Our pick-up locker will be open for contactless pick up from 9am to 9pm Monday to Sunday. It is conveniently located in College Heights.

    Please refer to our liability policies to learn more about the efforts we take to keep items safe. However, Sustainable Steals Consignment is not responsible for nor do we refund for any stolen, broken, tampered with, destructed, or damaged orders/items. 

    Shipping

    Currently we are only shipping within Canada. Customer pays exact shipping costs calculated at checkout Standard shipping time frames will apply, based on the shipping method you choose. Parcels will be shipped out on Mondays.

    We are currently NOT accepting returns on shipped items, Please read descriptions and measurements of items thoroughly. If you have any questions or if more detailed measurements or sizing info is needed, don't hesitate to send us a message and we'd be happy to assist you in any way we can.

    We do not issue refunds for lost, unclaimed, or undeliverable packages.

    Sustainable Steals Consignment is not responsible for, nor do we refund for lost, damaged, tampered with, destructed or stolen packages that may occur during the delivery process. If a package is damaged during transit or returned as undeliverable/unclaimed, it is the customer's responsibility to follow up with the shipping carrier.


    Liability Policy

    Sustainable Steals Consignment does not take responsibility or reimburse for any items that have been lost, stolen, broken, tampered with, destructed, or damaged after the order has been fulfilled. Once orders have been delivered, shipped or placed in the pick-up locker the responsibility falls onto the buyer and Sustainable Steals Consignment relinquishes any responsibility and liability over sold items.

    Sustainable Steals Consignment will do their best to keep orders safe by performing contactless drop offs in the most secure location available at your doorstep. We will always knock or ring the doorbell to notify you that the order has been  delivered, at which point the order has been fulfilled and Sustainable Steals Consignment is no longer responsible or liable for any items in the order.

    Sustainable Steals Consignment will do their best to keep the pick-up locker/consignor drop-off location secure and there is adequate security systems in place to deter any theft. However, should an order or consignor drop-off be stolen, tampered with, destructed, or damaged in any way Sustainable Steals Consignment will not assume any responsibility or liability. Once the order has been placed in the pick-up locker, the responsibility for the items falls onto the buyer.

    Sustainable Steals Consignment is not liable for any order that may get lost, stolen, tampered with, damaged or destructed during shipping. We will not be reimbursing or taking responsibility for any lost, stolen, tampered with, damaged or destructed orders once they have been shipped and all responsibility for the sold items falls onto the buyer.

    Orders will be packed within 1-5 days.

    You will receive an e-mail letting you know when your order is ready for pick-up, has been shipped, or has been delivered.

    We ship orders out on Mondays.

    Our pick-up locker will be open for contactless pick ups from 9am to 9pm, Monday to Sunday.

    We offer local Prince George, B.C. delivery within city limits for a small fee. All orders received before 9pm Monday night will be eligible for Wednesday delivery. All orders placed before 9pm Thursday night will be eligible for Saturday delivery. 

    Please look at measurements and sizing on each photo to ensure the item will fit. If you require any extra measurements or have any other questions about the items you’re interested in, please send us a message and we will be happy to assist in any way we can!

    We want you to have the best shopping experience possible and offer store credit for returns for local orders. See our return policy for more info.

    Our items get looked over a minimum of three times to ensure quality. However, mistakes happen and if you notice that we have missed something please let us know and we will rectify the situation.

    All of our pricing is in Canadian dollars.

    You can use only one promo code per transaction. Promo codes can only be used before you checkout and cannot be applied to orders after the transaction has gone through. Promo codes cannot be stacked on top of sale items.
